another one of my new boxes. I had this in mind for a few days, but was not sure how to execute it. I find that if I wait around too long to make something all the freshness goes. I think I may return to this subject as this has a touch of sweetness that I find a little boring, I will try and find a bit more 'edge' in the next one,but as far as it goes I am quite pleased that I found all the little pieces to make it.....its nearly there.

more type and numbers

I have been buying more stuff that really has no use except it makes me happy. I love the hand drawn numbers on these little enamel signs.
Ihave been looking at all the stuff I have in the drawers in my studio, trying to convince myself that one day I will use them, but I know I just like having them around.Some pieces will make it into my art,like the 27 in my previous post, sentimentally I saved these from my sons first house, but they are only ordinary numbers....aren't they?

cheap cheap box frames.....and I have the urge to fill them. I will do some of these for my open studio this year, they will be small and cheap enough to take away on a whim.
I don't know when I will have the open this year as the group open doesn't seem to be happening, so I will choose sometime in the summer when I wont mind sitting around the studio....

the sun is shining and I feel more motivated to get in the studio and start painting again. I am returning to an old subject....the house/home.Its a subject I keep returning to, and I feel there is so much more I canget out of it.

I'm sitting around not really feeling like painting.....so I have started with the scissors and paper in my sketchbook. I love how having a huge amount of scrap paper frees up my imagination, and how themes and images seem to come out of the ether. Now I have to clear up the mess I have made............

I have started life drawing class, and although I don't think I will carry on with it ( not this particular class anyway ) it has been very interesting. I have not drawn a nude for about 10 years, and have really enjoyed how I have given it all my concentration, and how an hour seems to fly by.....drawing has fallen by the wayside in my artistic life, I am now going to do more, I am smitten....
